CNC Machinist

Role: CNC MachinistLocation: ClevedonSalary: Up to 45,000 depending on experience My client is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join an established precision engineering business supplying components into the aerospace industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys working with high precision components, tight tolerances and demanding quality standards. The successful candidate will be working within a modern manufacturing environment, producing complex components using CNC machinery and ensuring all work is completed accurately and to specification. Responsibilities include:Setting and operating CNC machinery to produce precision components.Working from engineering drawings, specifications and process documentation.Setting tooling, workholding and machine offsets.Adjusting tooling and offsets to maintain component quality.Producing components to tight dimensional tolerances.Carrying out in-process inspection and dimensional checks.Using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and other inspection equipment.Identifying and correcting machining issues to minimise scrap and rework.Working with a range of materials and component types.Supporting improvements to machining processes, tooling and productivity.Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and health and safety.Working closely with engineers, inspectors and other members of the production team.
