Join the established liaison psychiatry emergency department team as a permanent, full-time Clinical Nurse Specialist / Mental Health Professional. The role sits within CPFT''s PLAN-accredited core24 service, delivering fast-paced, 24/7 input in the Emergency Department with high-calibre assessments, formulations and care plans, and providing expert opinion into the care of individuals in the ED.Responsibilities
As part of the Liaison Psychiatry Service, contribute to the multidisciplinary clinical assessment and management of patients referred to the service in collaboration with other team members.Provide timely biopsychosocial assessments and risk management plans in accordance with CPFT’s Clinical Risk Assessment and Management policy for adults presenting to the Acute Trust with mental health problems.Work within the PLAN-accredited core24 service to deliver 24/7 input to patients in the Emergency Department.Support the expansion of the core24 service to improve quicker access to individuals across the hospital out of hours.Be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and occupational therapists.Deliver exceptional standards of care for patients attending Cambridge University Hospital with comorbid mental health issues.Requirements / Qualifications
Senior experienced band 6 or 7 in a role with a background in acute care, providing assessments and crisis work.Excellent assessment and communication skills; ability to work well under pressure.Experience in emergency department liaison psychiatry is desirable.Details
