Clerk of Works

A well established construction consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Clerk of Works.

This is a site/home based role involving regular inspections across a range of construction projects in the Suffolk and Norfolk area.

You''ll be responsible for:

• Undertaking regular site inspections and monitoring construction progress
• Producing clear, detailed and timely professional reports
• Checking works against contractual drawings, Employers'' Requirements, warranty provider standards and Building Regulations
• Identifying defects, discrepancies and areas of non compliance
• Taking ownership of defect trackers and proactively following up with site teams
• Managing snagging, de-snagging and end of defects liability period inspections
• Maintaining accurate project records in line with the company''s filing and quality assurance procedures

Experience needed:

• Previous experience working as a Clerk of Works or Construction Inspector
• Membership of the ICWCI or CIOB
• Strong knowledge of building construction processes
• Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
• Experience using Field View or PlanRadar
• The ability to produce high quality technical reports
• Strong communication, organisation and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• A full UK driving licence

Salary: -50,00055,000, depending on experience.
