Clerk of Works

A well established construction consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Clerk of Works.This is a site/home based role involving regular inspections across a range of construction projects in the Suffolk and Norfolk area.You''ll be responsible for:Undertaking regular site inspections and monitoring construction progressProducing clear, detailed and timely professional reportsChecking works against contractual drawings, Employers'' Requirements, warranty provider standards and Building RegulationsIdentifying defects, discrepancies and areas of non complianceTaking ownership of defect trackers and proactively following up with site teamsManaging snagging, de-snagging and end of defects liability period inspectionsMaintaining accurate project records in line with the company''s filing and quality assurance proceduresExperience needed:Previous experience working as a Clerk of Works or Construction InspectorMembership of the ICWCI or CIOBStrong knowledge of building construction processesGood working knowledge of JCT and NEC contractsExperience using Field View or PlanRadarThe ability to produce high quality technical reportsStrong communication, organisation and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook.A full UK driving licenceThis is an excellent opportunity to join an established and respected consultancy offering a varied workload and the opportunity to take ownership of projects.Salary: 50,000- 55,000, depending on experience. ..... full job details .....
