The Education Network Birmingham seeks an experienced Class Teacher for a specialist school in Birmingham. This full-time role involves teaching a small Key Stage 3 class with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, following a primary-style curriculum. Class Teacher KS3 – SEMH Class
The Education Network is looking for an experienced Key Stage 3 Class Teacher to join a specialist school in South Birmingham, teaching a small class of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role would suit a teacher with previous SEMH experience who is confident working with students who may have struggled within mainstream education. You will take responsibility for teaching a Key Stage 3 class across a primary-style curriculum, providing a consistent and structured approach that helps students re-engage with learning.
Strong classroom management skills are essential. You will need to be confident setting clear boundaries, managing challenging behaviour and building positive relationships with students. You will be supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant in the classroom.
The successful Class Teacher will be adaptable, resilient and able to create a calm, purposeful learning environment where students feel supported and able to make progress.
