About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver based in Woking, you will join Royal Mail’s team to support nationwide trunking operations between depots. This flexible, temporary role offers hourly pay between £22.41 and £25.53. Your duties involve transporting mail on pre-planned routes, completing thorough vehicle safety checks, and maintaining professional standards throughout each shift. No handballing is required, as this position focuses purely on organised, scheduled journeys covering morning, evening, and weekend work. - Morning, evening and weekend shifts available
- Transport mail between national sites
- Complete vehicle checks and uphold top‑tier safety
- Follow scheduled routes with precision
- Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run
- Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 2+ years)
- A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card
- 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
- Max 6 points on your licence
- Able to pass vetting & DBS checks
- Excellent pay: £22.41–£25.53 p/h (shift dependent)
- Guaranteed minimum daily hours
- Weekly pay, holiday accrual & pension (PAYE)
- Option to secure preferred shifts after assessment
- Onsite parking & canteen facilities are available in most Depots
- Support from the onsite Pertemps team
