About the Role

This position involves safely operating a Class 1 (C+E) HGV on planned trunking routes for a client based in Stoke on Trent. As a Class 1 Driver 2026 at the Beech location, you will complete depot-to-depot trunking work, perform daily vehicle safety checks, and ensure the trailer is handled responsibly. The role offers a pay rate between £19.98 and £35.46 per hour, with a working pattern covering a 7-day operation where you work 5 out of 7 days. Key requirements include a full UK driving licence, CPC and Digi Card, no more than 6 points, and holding an HGV licence for 2 years. This is a temporary contract offering full-time or part-time hours.

Pertemps Stoke are currently recruiting for Class 1 / HGV 1 Drivers to work out of their client based in Stoke on Trent
For this Class 1 / HGV 1 Drivers role, you will be responsible for:

Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) HGV on planned trunking routes.
Complete depot-to-depot trunking work as scheduled.
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
Ensure the vehicle and trailer are operated safely and responsibly.

For this Class 1 / HGV 1 Drivers role, you will need:

Full UK Driving Licence
CPC & Digi Card
No more than 6 points
Held HGV Licence for 2 years
