The role of Class 1 Driver - Tramping in Kingston Upon Hull involves operating modern curtain-sided vehicles for a global logistics firm. This temporary position offers Monday to Friday work with weekends and bank holidays off. Start times fall between 4am and 6am. Drivers deliver timber to builders' merchants, completing an average of 4-6 drops daily, sometimes as few as 1-2. Responsibilities include safely driving across the UK, securely strapping goods, and operating to FORS Gold standards. The hourly rate ranges from £16.40 to £18.00. Candidates require significant Class 1 experience, though those with several months of solid driving history are also considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely drive modern curtain-sided vehicles across the UK.
Deliver timber to builders'' merchants, with an average of 4-6 drops per day (sometimes as few as 1-2).
Ensure goods are securely strapped before journeys.
Operate in compliance with FORS Gold level safety standards.

Requirements:

Valid LGV C+E Licence.
Up-to-date CPC and DIGI card.
Maximum of 6 points on your licence.
No DD, DR, or IN endorsements.
All drivers must pass an on-site assessment.
4 nights out per week
