Civils Site Supervisor

We are seeking a Civil Site Supervisor for a principal contractor in Kent!

• Location: Sittingbourne HQ (Various locations South-East England)

• Salary: -40-45k per annum

We are seeking a Civil Site Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all site-based civil engineering activities. This role is essential for ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, legislation, and company procedures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising civil engineering works and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Health and Safety Compliance

   • Enforce and comply with the Company''s Health and Safety Policy and relevant statutory obligations.
   • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
   • Monitor and ensure the safe use of equipment and manual handling.
   • Carry out monthly health & safety audits and near-miss reporting.

2. Environmental Responsibility

   • Ensure compliance with environmental licenses and permits.
   • Minimise environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.

3. Quality Assurance

   • Oversee works to ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and quality plans.
   • Maintain accurate site records and manage testing and inspection requirements.
   • Utilise Eque 2 system for logging materials and maintain compliance documentation using company tablet systems.

4. Operational Supervision

   • Supervise and coordinate the activities of labor and subcontractors.
   • Ensure resource availability and adherence to project timelines.
   • Resolve on-site technical and logistic issues and maintain professional site conduct.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in supervising civil engineering works including RC structures, drainage, highways, and earthworks.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Mandatory Certifications: SMSTS, Supervisor Gold CSCS Card, First Aid, Temporary Works Supervisor, Full UK Driving Licence.
• Desirable Certifications: PASMA, IPAF (MEWP), Confined Spaces, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
