Civils Contracts Manager

Overview

We’re seeking an ambitious and experienced Civils Contracts Manager to lead the growth and pipeline on a newly awarded framework with United Utilities.You’ll oversee a range of civils projects on the new Detailed Design and Build framework award working closely alongside our established delivery teams working for the same client. This is a new role where you’ll be hands-on and build the team around you so we’re looking for someone with that drive to develop themselves and their team.£67k to £75k doeCompany car / car allowanceOpportunity to take ownership and build your own team around youWhat you\''ll be doing

You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the team, managing civils projects from initial concept, ECI through to delivery and completion. Your focus will be on ensuring all project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Utilise specialist civils experience and capability to oversee a wider team delivering complex civils schemes between the value of £100k-£5m.Oversee the full project management function of the team, supporting where required, as appropriate to team size, contract value, and size of frameworkMonitor project costs across all areas to ensure maintenance of marginEnsure consistent project performance in line with client and company expectations for the areaEnsure a safe working environment through close collaboration with the SHWEQ department, ensuring teams complete and comply with all health and safety checksAssist with root cause analysis where required and work with the management team to resolve problemsAccountable for ensuring RAMS and CPPs are in place and adhered toOversee temporary works, appointing coordinators where necessaryDeveloping and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.Manage labour allocations, ensuring there are sufficient civils teamsHave active involvement in the BRMR, working closely with the Commercial teamWho we’re looking for

EssentialDrive to build and improve yourself and your teamExtensive experience in managing and delivering civils projects from conception through to completionExperience in managing civils pre-construction processes, creating a scope of works, supporting on tenders and producing programsStrong understanding of quality assurance, CDM regulations and RegulationsExperience with temporary works managementProven experience leading and mentoring a civils team or business unitExperience in writing RAMS and CPPsAbility to identify and manage risks, ensuring compliance with safe systems of work.IdealPrevious experience working within the water industryExperience with MEICA projects / elementsBusiness Growth experienceWhat we\''re offering
