Overview
The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in the tech industry and a proven track record in managing complex financial strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with venture capital (VC) firms, securing loans, dealing with lenders, and leading fundraising efforts through multiple funding rounds.
Responsibilities
Lead the company''s financial strategy, including operational financial management and long-term planningOversee and manage the organisation''s fundraising efforts, including multiple VC rounds, liaising with VCs, lenders, and investorsSecure financing and manage relationships with lenders, ensuring the company has appropriate funding at each stage of growthLead roadshows and other fundraising activities, including presenting to prospective investors and stakeholdersOversee the company''s financial performance, setting and managing OKRs for the finance team and broader organisationOwn and develop business plans, ensuring they align with overall strategic goals and performance targetsDrive the company''s MandA strategy, managing financial due diligence and negotiationsLead and manage a small high-performing finance team, ensuring operational efficiency and fostering a culture of teamwork and developmentManage investor relations, ensuring clear and consistent communication and relationship-building with both existing and potential investorsCreate and present board packs, ensuring the Board has timely and relevant financial information to make informed decisionsDevelop and maintain an effective financial forecasting and budgeting processUse data analysis and storytelling techniques to effectively communicate financial insights to lenders, investors, and stakeholdersManage cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational successEnsure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policiesLead the finance IT systems setup and managementProvide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture
Qualifications
Problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and solve complex financial issuesStrong ability to create and develop business plans, and drive performance through strategic OKR managementSkilled in storytelling and presenting complex financial data in a compelling and accessible way to lenders, investors, and Board membersAnalytical mindset, with strong attention to detail and the ability to drive data-driven decision-making
Proven experience as CFO or in a senior finance leadership role within the tech industryExtensive experience in securing loans, dealing with lenders, and managing relationships with financial institutionsStrong track record of leading multiple VC funding rounds and raising capitalHands-on experience with operational financial management and the implementation of effective financial strategiesExpertise in managing investor relations and presenting to prospective investors and Board membersExperience managing MandA processes, including financial due diligence and negotiationsProven ability to lead and build high-performing teamsExperience preparing and presenting board packs, providing strategic financial recommendationsQualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is a strong advantageBSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MSc/MBA is a plus
