About the Role
Berkeley Scott is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join various school contracts across London, alongside hospital, office, and other site placements. This temporary role offers Monday to Friday, term-time shifts from 9am to 2pm, with flexible patterns and weekly pay. You will assist in preparing and serving hot and cold food, clearing and closing the unit, maintaining food safety and allergen standards, and supporting special events or buffets. Immediate starts are available, with opportunities to work across multiple London locations. The position requires key skills in food preparation, hygiene compliance, and teamwork, with a competitive salary offered.

Key Responsibilities of our School Catering Assistant:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food items
- Help clear and close the unit at the end of each shift
- Maintain standards in line with food safety and food allergen legislation
- Assist with special events and buffets as required
Our ideal School Catering Assistant:
Pay rates differ depending on client, experience and role.
- Previous experience in a catering or food service role is ESSENTIAL
- Use of till and/or computerised stock system is advantageous
- Food Safety andamp; Food Allergen Qualifications or willingness to complete IS ESSENTIAL
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes challenging environment
- Team player with the initiative to work independently
- Takes pride in delivering excellent service
- Enhanced DBS
