An opportunity has arisen to join Tower Hamlets and the City of London Youth Justice Service as a Youth Justice Case Manager on a permanent contract.

The relationships built with children and their families are pivotal to all aspects of youth justice practice. We are seeking Case Managers who have excellent skills in engaging and developing positive, trusting relationships with children and their families from diverse backgrounds.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Case Manager, you will be allocated children aged 10–17 years old who have received both community and custodial sentences from the Court. You will:

undertake high-quality assessments

devise individualised intervention plans tailored to the child’s needs

focus on positive impacts on desistance from offending, safety, and protection of the public

demonstrate an unwavering commitment to delivering the best outcomes for Tower Hamlets and the City of London children

The Youth Justice Service is committed to ‘Child First’ principles, with collaboration with children, families, and multi-agency partners at the heart of our work.

Qualifications and Skills

Good understanding of approaches including trauma-informed practice, restorative justice, and relational approaches

Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment (partners may include speech and language therapists, substance misuse practitioners, police, child and adolescent mental health clinicians, education officers, and therapeutic practitioners)
