CaretakerLocation: LambethSalary: £28,860At MTVH, we are looking for someone who is passionate about creating safe and thriving communities, enjoys providing excellent customer service and ensuring communal spaces are well-maintained.Key Responsibilities as a Caretaker: Collaborate with maintenance, customer service, and housing teams to identify and address communal repairs, including entry-phone systems, while keeping residents informed. Ensure timely opening and closing of play areas, conduct Level 1 playground inspections, and prepare reports. Support Housing Officers in property readiness for letting and assist with decanting operations. Monitor and report defects in external lighting, make seasonal adjustments, and maintain records. Oversee regular compacting and removal of domestic and bulk refuse, advocating for recycling initiatives. Aid tenants in emergency situations, maintain security on the estate, and manage access to communal areas. Assist with setting up the residents'' Sheltered Community Centre and distribute information and newsletters. Provide emergency call-out coverage on a rotational basis and report on community safety and anti-social behaviour incidents. Act as a professional witness if required and report any incidents of vacant or abandoned properties.
