Cambridgeshire - Team Manager - Children's Assesment Team
Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join Cambridgeshire County Council''s Children''s Services in Huntingdon.
The successful candidate will primarily support the Children''s Assessment Service, while also providing management cover across Family Support and Safeguarding where required. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager looking to make a meaningful impact within a busy and supportive children''s social care service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective management and leadership to a team of social workers within the Children''s Assessment Service.
- Ensure high-quality assessments, care planning and safeguarding interventions are completed within statutory timescales.
- Provide management oversight of complex cases, ensuring risks are appropriately identified, assessed and managed.
- Support the service to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Provide management cover and support across Family Support and Safeguarding services when required.
- Supervise, motivate and develop social workers, promoting high standards of practice and professional development.
- Monitor team performance, caseloads and statutory compliance against service expectations.
- Ensure children''s voices remain central to decision-making and practice.
- Work collaboratively with senior managers and multi-agency partners, including health, education and other safeguarding agencies.
- Contribute to service improvement, quality assurance and the continuous development of social work practice.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, council policies and safeguarding procedures.

Pay Rate: Up to -45.50 per hour
Office Requirement: 3 days in the office expected

Essential Requirements
- Social Work England (SWE) registration.
- Relevant qualification in Social Work.
- Significant post-qualifying experience within children''s social care.
- Previous experience in a Team Manager or equivalent management role.
- Strong experience within assessment and safeguarding services.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory frameworks and children''s social care practice.
- Experience managing complex cases and supporting social workers with risk management and decision-making.
- Strong leadership, communication and multi-agency working skills.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
