Social Worker - Fostering Cambridgeshire County Council Cambridgeshire (Home-Based Visits) and Huntingdon Office £39 per hour (Umbrella) Contract Role Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Fostering Team at Cambridgeshire County Council. This role involves undertaking visits to foster carers across Cambridgeshire, with office attendance required approximately 2-3 times per month at: 5 George Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3AD Key Responsibilities Provide professional support, guidance, and supervision to foster carers, promoting best practice and positive outcomes for children and young people. Conduct regular visits to foster homes and undertake assessments, reviews, and statutory visits in line with legislation and local policy. Build and maintain effective working relationships with foster carers, looked-after children, birth families, and partner agencies. Complete accurate case recordings, assessments, reports, and care planning documentation. Work collaboratively with health, education, and other multi-agency professionals to provide holistic support. Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and follow child protection procedures. Participate in team meetings, supervision, training, and continuous professional development activities.
