CAM Engineer

CAM Engineer Newbury Salary Negotiable We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAM Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Newbury. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in CAM programming and manufacturing who is looking for a long-term position within an established engineering business. CAM Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: Preparing and processing customer PCB data for manufacture Using CAM software to prepare manufacturing data Reviewing Gerber files and engineering data Checking customer data and identifying any issues before production Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation Working closely with production and engineering teams Supporting the production process with technical queries Ensuring data is prepared accurately and to the required standards Identifying and resolving manufacturing issues Working to IPC standards and company procedures CAM Engineer Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a CAM Engineer / CAM Technician role within electronics manufacturing Experience working with PCB manufacturing data Good understanding of Gerber files and PCB design/manufacturing processes Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation Experience working to IPC standards would be beneficial Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
