We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAM Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Newbury. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in CAM programming and manufacturing who is looking for a long-term position within an established engineering business.

CAM Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Preparing and processing customer PCB data for manufacture
• Using CAM software to prepare manufacturing data
• Reviewing Gerber files and engineering data
• Checking customer data and identifying any issues before production
• Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation
• Working closely with production and engineering teams
• Supporting the production process with technical queries
• Ensuring data is prepared accurately and to the required standards
• Identifying and resolving manufacturing issues
• Working to IPC standards and company procedures

CAM Engineer Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a CAM Engineer / CAM Technician role within electronics manufacturing
• Experience working with PCB manufacturing data
• Good understanding of Gerber files and PCB design/manufacturing processes
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience working to IPC standards would be beneficial
