Calibration Technician

Calibration Technician Location: Brighton - on-site Duration: 3-6 months Rate: £25 per hour Umbrella IR35: Inside Clearance: Candidates will need to undergo basic security checks if successful Overview A defence and security engineering organisation in Brighton is looking for a Calibration Technician to support the day-to-day running of the calibration function-ensuring gauges and equipment are calibrated, controlled, and available to support production and development. Responsibilities: Support and maintain calibration activities in line with company procedures and quality standards Publish weekly calibration recall lists and process scheduled and overdue equipment Gather, inspect and calibrate mechanical and electrical equipment Obtain quotations, raise purchase orders and coordinate external calibration services where required Arrange visits for calibration of in-house equipment Issue gauges to production work orders within the required KPI timeframe Raise Defect Equipment Notices for equipment that does not meet specification Maintain the Gauge Tool Management database, including recording new equipment and managing gauge storage through the Supply Point System Skillset/experience required: Significant experience in a calibration or inspection environment (calibration experience essential) Experience using precision measuring equipment Strong understanding of mechanical inspection and calibration techniques Mechanical manufacturing background Ability to interpret ..... full job details .....
