Calibration TechnicianLocation: Brighton - on-siteDuration: 3-6 monthsRate: 25 per hour UmbrellaIR35: InsideClearance: Candidates will need to undergo basic security checks if successful OverviewA defence and security engineering organisation in Brighton is looking for a Calibration Technician to support the day-to-day running of the calibration function-ensuring gauges and equipment are calibrated, controlled, and available to support production and development. Responsibilities:Support and maintain calibration activities in line with company procedures and quality standardsPublish weekly calibration recall lists and process scheduled and overdue equipmentGather, inspect and calibrate mechanical and electrical equipmentObtain quotations, raise purchase orders and coordinate external calibration services where requiredArrange visits for calibration of in-house equipmentIssue gauges to production work orders within the required KPI timeframeRaise Defect Equipment Notices for equipment that does not meet specificationMaintain the Gauge Tool Management database, including recording new equipment and managing gauge storage through the Supply Point System Skillset/experience required:Significant experience in a calibration or inspection environment (calibration experience essential)Experience using precision measuring equipmentStrong understanding of mechanical inspection and calibration techniquesMechanical manufacturing backgroundAbility to interpret engineering drawings and ..... full job details .....
