Café Manager - Temporary
£15.40 per hour Start date: ASAP
Location : GU35: Bordon Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 8.00am-4.30pm & Saturday, 8.00am-2.30pm Temporary: 2-3 months initially
 
Dynamite Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established organisation  who are looking for an experienced Café Manager to join the team on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible.
 
This is a hands-on role where you''ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the café, making sure customers receive great service and the café is running smoothly.
 
The initial role is expected to last around 2-3 months. There is the potential for a permanent position for the right person, although this cannot be guaranteed.
 
The role of Café Manager will include:

• Managing the day-to-day running of the café
• Leading and supporting staff and volunteers
• Preparing and serving food and drinks
• Using a professional coffee/barista machine
• Helping with menus, specials and new food ideas
• Ordering stock and managing suppliers
• Keeping on top of stock levels and minimising waste
• Cashing up and keeping accurate financial records
• Making sure food hygiene, health and safety standards are maintained
• Managing rotas and making sure the café is appropriately staffed
• Providing a friendly and welcoming service to customers
• Dealing with customer queries and resolving any issues
• Supporting volunteers and helping with training
• Keeping the café clean, safe and well presented
• Helping promote the café through social media, signage and other activities
• Supporting community events and activities where required

About you
We''re looking for someone who has previous experience working in a café, hospitality, catering or similar environment, ideally with some supervisory or management experience.
 
You''ll need to be confident working in a busy environment and happy to get stuck in and help wherever needed.
We''re particularly interested in people who have:

• Previous café, hospitality or catering management experience
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety
• Experience preparing food and making hot drinks
• Barista experience
• Good customer service skills
• Experience supervising or supporting a team
• Good organisation and time management skills
• Experience with stock ordering and suppliers
• Good attention to detail and financial awareness
• A friendly, approachable and positive attitude
•  

A Basic DBS check will be required for this role and will be funded by the organisation.
