Caf Assistant Role PurposeTo support the smooth daily running of Vibe Caf by delivering friendly customer service, preparing food and drinks, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and professionalism in a public-facing council environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer ServiceDeliver warm, friendly and professional service to all customersOperate tills accurately and handle cash and card payments responsiblyMaintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance and conductRespond positively and politely to customer requests and queriesFood and Beverage PreparationPrepare and serve hot and cold drinks, light meals and snacksFollow approved recipes, portion control and presentation standardsSupport healthier menu options and allergen awarenessCleanliness and SafetyMaintain cleanliness of caf , kitchen, seating and storage areasFollow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures at all timesSupport daily and weekly cleaning schedules and safety checksTeam Support and TrainingWork cooperatively as part of a small on-site teamParticipate fully in training and developmentSupport colleagues during busy periods and maintain team standardsRemain calm, professional and composed under pressureSkills and ExperienceEssentialExperience in a caf , hospitality or customer-facing role (or strong transferable skills)Good communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to complete Food Safety trainingDesirablePrevious food handling experienceKnowledge of allergen ..... full job details .....
