Caf- Assistant
Role Purpose
To support the smooth daily running of Vibe Caf- by delivering friendly customer service, preparing food and drinks, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and professionalism in a public-facing council environment.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Deliver warm, friendly and professional service to all customers
- Operate tills accurately and handle cash and card payments responsibly
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance and conduct
- Respond positively and politely to customer requests and queries
Food & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, light meals and snacks
- Follow approved recipes, portion control and presentation standards
- Support healthier menu options and allergen awareness
Cleanliness & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness of caf-, kitchen, seating and storage areas
- Follow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures at all times
- Support daily and weekly cleaning schedules and safety checks
Team Support & Training
- Work cooperatively as part of a small on-site team
- Participate fully in training and development
- Support colleagues during busy periods and maintain team standards
- Remain calm, professional and composed under pressure

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in a caf-, hospitality or customer-facing role (or strong transferable skills)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to complete Food Safety training
Desirable
- Previous food handling experience
- Knowledge of allergen awareness
