CAD Programmer Wanted – Immediate Start!
Location: Leicester
Salary: £35,000+ per annum
Shifts: Full-time | 40 hours per week Mon-Fri

Are you an experienced CAD Programmer? Regional Recruitment Services are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading manufacturer for a CAD Programmer to join their Design & Manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing sheet metal and laser cutting business.

This role offers long term career development and the opportunity to work on projects from concept through to production within a professional engineering environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Producing 2D CAD drawings and flat patterns using SolidWorks
• Programming CNC laser cutting machines within agreed production timescales
• Nesting drawings to maximise material usage and production efficiency
• Creating and maintaining accurate CAD/CAM programs for manufacturing
• Supporting the fabrication team with folding, forming and assembly instructions
• Reviewing and improving existing programs to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Working closely with production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing processes

Requirements

• Experience working as a CAD Programmer, CAD/CAM Programmer or similar
• Strong experience with 2D CAD and SolidWorks
• Background in laser cutting, sheet metal or fabrication
• Experience with CAD/CAM programming and nesting software
• Familiarity with Trumpf lasers is highly desirable
• Experience with Lantek, Oseon or TruTops software would be beneficial
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
