CAD Design EngineerLocation: Harwich, EssexType: Full-time, permanentSalary Guide: 36,000 - 45,000 PA (DOE)Hours: Thu 08:00-17:00, Fri 08:00-16:00 An established, UK-based specialised engineering business, who deliver bespoke fabricated solutions for industrial environments is looking to recruit a CAD Design Engineer to assist the Design Engineering Manager to produce production-ready SolidWorks designs and manufacturing documentation for sheet metal and fabricated steelwork products, with a strong focus on enclosures and noise-control fabrications. You''ll support projects from concept through to manufacture, working closely with fabrication/production teams to ensure designs are right-first-time (with occasional site/installation support). Key Responsibilities:Create SolidWorks 3D models, assemblies and detailed 2D manufacturing drawingsProduce BOMs, cut lists and fabrication packs (including dimensions, tolerances and notes)Design sheet metal components and fabricated steelwork to suit manufacturing methodsApply DFM principles and liaise with fabrication/production teams to resolve build issuesSupport acoustic enclosure design (panels, doors, access, interfaces, mounting details)Maintain drawing revisions and ensure document control is followedEnsure designs meet quality standards and health and safety requirementsProvide occasional assistance with installation drawings or site queries Essential Skills and Experience:Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks or ..... full job details .....
