Job Description

We are currently on the look out for a Buyer to join our Purchasing Team, within the role you will be rresponsible for non-metal sourcing and procurement for the business. The role involves negotiating with suppliers, ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and maintaining positive vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and reliability
• Negotiate favourable contracts, terms and prices with suppliers
• Manage the full procurement process from end to end
• Take full ownership leading contracts and categories you are assigned
• Manage contracts efficiently and strategically – lead commercial discussions, contract processes, and conduct regular reviews
• Proactively build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal performance

Key skills

• Strong proven experience as a Buyer with the ability to negotiate
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Experienced with ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Experienced with supplier management and relationship building
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong commercial knowledge and contract management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
