Business Development Director-Public Sector – Virgin Media O2We’re growing fast — and we’re looking for a driven B2B Business Development Director to join our Public Sector division, focusing on our most strategic customers and prospects across Scotland and Northern Ireland. This hybrid role puts you in control of your diary, with the backing of a supportive team that values results over micromanagement.Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-level sales in the Public Sector in Scotland and/or Northern Ireland, identifying, developing, and closing large, complex new business opportunities within existing and new public sector customers.Collaborate across functional teams to manage complex bids and cross-sell into existing accounts.Lead cross-functional teams focused on large business opportunities and engage partners at all levels.Accurately report sales forecasts using CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.Drive deals in the £2m-£10m contract range where applicable.Qualifications

Proven expertise in an enterprise-level sales environment with a track record of closing large, complex new business opportunities in the public sector.Deep understanding of Public Sector dynamics in Scotland and/or Northern Ireland is highly desirable.Experience with contract interpretation/writing, negotiation, and closing big contracts (£2m-£10m).Strong experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex bids.Experience leading cross-functional teams and engaging partners at all levels.Proven ability to report sales forecasts using CRM systems (Salesforce).Previous telco or IT sales experience.Complex Solution Selling and Commercial Acumen with a consultative approach.What’s in it for you
