We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with specific expertise in the public sector to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements, ensuring alignment with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and User-Centered Design (UCD) principles.Your Role and Responsibilities

Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements in the public sector setting.Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.Support cross-functional teams in translating business needs into functional and technical specifications adhering to GDS guidelines.Contribute to the creation of business cases, process flows, and user stories, prioritizing user-centered approach.Facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.Design concept journeys, blueprints, and roadmaps that communicate how the total user experience can be elevated beyond the immediate product or service.Map end-to-end user experiences, aligning technology, business, and design across the service.Embed design practices within the organisation to sustain user-focused service delivery.Collaborate with User Researchers to generate insights from users, staff, and stakeholders to shape the total user experience.Analyze, consolidate, and communicate research findings to inform the wider strategic roadmap of initiatives.Qualifications and Expertise

Proven experience in business analysis and requirements gathering within the public sector.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholder management.Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.GDS compliance knowledge and understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles.Experience in facilitating workshops, meetings, and training sessions.Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework; knowledge of SDLC.Experience in data analysis and reporting.Preferred Education

Bachelor''s DegreePreferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio, JIRA).Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.Knowledge of SDLC and data analysis and reporting.Service design experience within government/public sector context.Proficiency with design tools (Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma) and prototyping tools (InVision, Marvel, Proto.io).Knowledge of GDS Service Manual and Digital Principles.Certifications in UCD are desirable but not mandatory.Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Employment and Eligibility
