Building Maintenance Officer
Responsible to: Building Maintenance Officer ICT and Education Infrastructure Manager / Access and School Places Programme Manager Key relationships/Functional links with: Heads of Service and Managers across a range of disciplines within Education and Early Intervention Department. Other contacts include officers within the Council, Councillors, Community Councils, schools, representatives of outside bodies, statutory undertakers, Consultants, Contractors, outside agencies, citizens of Wrexham. Main Purpose of Job: Building Maintenance Officer To provide building maintenance services for all Education property including reactive, legislative, planned and cyclical maintenance and to provide advice and support to the Access and School Places Team on maintenance of new build, refurbishment and improvement schemes, working closely with and supporting the work of the Building Maintenance Team within Assets. To ensure that the Council''s Education property portfolio meets the requirements of service occupiers and all statutory regulations and to be personally aware of and adhere to systems and processes to ensure compliance with relevant Building Maintenance legislation. Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities: The jobholder will be expected to complete the responsibilities / accountabilities effectively in order to deliver the key objectives of the organisation.
