Pay: -1001210 per day PAYE (dependent on experience)

Overview:
SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) expertise to support deaf and hearing-impaired pupils within a primary school deaf provision in Islington. This is a rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to play a vital role in helping children access the curriculum, build communication skills, and thrive both academically and socially in an inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 and small group support for deaf and hearing-impaired pupils across primary year groups

• Use fluent BSL to facilitate learning, communication, and social interaction

• Work closely with the class teacher, Teacher of the Deaf, and SENCO to adapt and deliver tailored lessons

• Promote pupils'' emotional wellbeing, independence, and self-confidence

• Contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Recognised BSL qualification (minimum Level 2, Level 3+ preferred)

• Experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired children in schools

• Strong communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills

• Patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children with SEND
