carer

who is fluent in

British Sign Language (BSL)

and competent in

tracheostomy and ventilator care . The role involves supporting an individual who is ventilated 24/7, providing attentive care throughout the night alongside a qualified nurse.Responsibilities

Provide overnight care and support in line with the individual’s care plan.Assist with tracheostomy and ventilator management, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.Communicate clearly and confidently using British Sign Language.Work collaboratively with the on-duty nurse to maintain a safe environment.Be available to respond quickly if support is needed during the night.Support with record-keeping and handovers as required.Requirements

Proven experience as a carer, with competencies in tracheostomy and ventilator care.Proficiency in British Sign Language (essential).Ability to remain alert, calm, and responsive during night shifts.Compassionate and professional approach to care.Reliability and ability to work as part of a team.Schedule
