A client of ours in the Chelmsford area are recruiting a Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm. Paying a negotiable salary depending on experience.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure timely processing of invoices.
  • Manage accounts payable, including processing payments and reconciling statements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete VAT returns.
  • Credit control
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software.
  • Administration duties when needed


Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Bookkeeper position:

  • Previous experience in using Xero essential
  • Experience within the manufacturing and production industry is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience within a similar role essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised
