A client of ours in the Chelmsford area are recruiting a Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm. Paying a negotiable salary depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure timely processing of invoices.
- Manage accounts payable, including processing payments and reconciling statements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy.
- Complete VAT returns.
- Credit control
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software.
- Administration duties when needed
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Bookkeeper position:
- Previous experience in using Xero essential
- Experience within the manufacturing and production industry is advantageous but not essential
- Experience within a similar role essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organised
