BIM Coordinator (Rail)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to lead and manage digital delivery and information management across a major rail civils project. This role spans design, construction, and handover phases, working closely with BIM, information management, assurance, and design coordination teams to ensure consistent standards, effective model coordination, compliant asset data capture, and successful project handover.

Key Responsibilities



Project Requirements Management

• Ensure all Digital Engineering requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented
• Monitor compliance with project specifications and contractual obligations
• Track and report progress against requirements across all project stages
• Identify any gaps and implement corrective actions to ensure full compliance

BIM Delivery Oversight

• Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards and client BIM requirements
• Support the BIM Lead in resolving technical and coordination challenges
• Align BIM deliverables with project milestones and quality expectations
• Manage and maintain the BIM Execution Plan, ensuring team adherence
• Oversee BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and up-to-date information
• Promote effective collaboration and communication across project teams

Project Support

• Provide technical support to the project team on BIM-related matters
• Assist in developing and maintaining BIM content libraries
• Prepare and manage BIM-related project documentation

Communication and Coordination

• Lead regular BIM coordination meetings to review progress and resolve design issues
• Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related queries
• Communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders and team members
• Coordinate the integration of multidisciplinary models
• Support training of project personnel on BIM tools and workflows
