Role Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Bid Director to take ownership of the full bid management lifecycle within the service sector. This role requires a leader who can operate at both a strategic and operational level—setting direction, overseeing complex bids, and ensuring the delivery of compelling, high-quality submissions that demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end bid management process, from initial qualification through to submission and post-bid review.
- Oversee, mentor, and develop the bid team to deliver consistently high standards.
- Drive the production of complex, high-quality bids that reflect a deep understanding of client requirements and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across commercial, technical, and operational teams to ensure bid strategies are aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure all submissions demonstrate strong commercial acumen, competitive pricing strategies, and risk management.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of best practices in bid management and apply continuous improvement to processes and outcomes.

- Hands-on approach with the ability to roll up sleeves and directly contribute to bid content and strategy.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing bid teams.
