Housing Benefits Assessment Officer We are seeking an experienced Housing Benefits Assessor to join our team, responsible for evaluating Housing Benefit and Council Tax reduction claims. Key Skills and Experience: Demonstrable experience in processing all types of Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction claims. Extensive knowledge of the "Academy" Benefits system. Current understanding of Housing Benefit legislation and the ability to apply it accurately to individual cases. A proactive and customer-oriented approach to resolving inquiries. Responsibilities will encompass all areas, including: New claims and changes in circumstances. Assessment of student claims, claims from individuals from abroad, and self-employed claims. Working with VEP, ATLAS, and Universal Credit files. Experience with temporary accommodation and supported exempt accommodation claims is desirable.
