The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behaviour Therapist to join a specialist SEN school in the Greenwich area.
The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), SEMH, and communication difficulties, and is committed to providing a structured, therapeutic environment.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of behaviour interventions who is passionate about supporting young people to regulate emotions, build independence, and access learning effectively.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver 1:1 and small-group behaviour therapy and intervention sessions
* Implement evidence-based strategies (e.g. ABA-informed approaches, behaviour plans)
* Support pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and social skills
* Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and therapists to ensure consistent support
* Monitor and record pupil progress, adapting interventions where needed
* Support behaviour management across the school environment
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly ASD/SEMH
* Background in behaviour support, therapy, psychology, or related field
* Strong understanding of behaviour intervention strategies
* Excellent communication and observation skills
* Patient, calm, and resilient approach
* Understanding of safeguarding, SEN practice, and therapeutic support
