A supportive specialist school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, engagement in lessons, or maintaining positive relationships, helping them make progress both personally and academically.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will build positive relationships with pupils, providing consistent guidance and encouragement throughout the school day. You will help students understand their emotions, develop constructive coping strategies, and make positive choices in a structured and supportive environment.

In this role, your responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
• Building trusting relationships and acting as a positive role model
• Helping students identify triggers and develop strategies to manage their behaviour
• Encouraging positive engagement with lessons, routines, and school expectations
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to maintain consistent approaches to behaviour support
