Behaviour Mentor
Kings Heath, Birmingham Part-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am-1:00pm ASAP Start We are looking for a confident, resilient and compassionate Behaviour Learning Mentor to join a welcoming school in Kings Heath, Birmingham, providing dedicated support to a Year 6 pupil with challenging behaviour. This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-1:00pm, starting ASAP and continuing for the full academic year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, SEND, youth work or behaviour intervention and will be calm, consistent and able to build positive relationships. This role would suit an experienced Behaviour Mentor, Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker or Sports Coach with excellent behaviour-management skills. The role:Provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil throughout the school morningBuild a positive and trusting relationship with the pupilSupport with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement in learningUse positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategiesEncourage positive choices, routines and social interactionsWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team We are looking for someone who:Has experience supporting challenging behaviour, SEMH or additional needsIs calm, patient, firm and consistentCan remain resilient when faced with challenging situationsHas strong behaviour management and communication skillsIs passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning ..... full job details .....
