Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - IslingtonFull Time Term Time Only Immediate Start Up to 125 per day Long Term Temp to PermLong Term Futures are recruiting an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a mainstream secondary school in Islington, supporting students across KS3 and KS4.The school is looking for a confident Behaviour Mentor who can build strong relationships with young people displaying challenging behaviour, SEMH needs and barriers to learning. You will work both inside and outside the classroom, providing targeted support to improve behaviour, engagement and attendance.This is a long-term temp-to-perm opportunity, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour interventionsSupport students with challenging behaviour and SEMH needsWork across KS3 and KS4Support pupils within lessons and during periods of withdrawalUse effective de-escalation and behaviour management strategiesHelp students regulate emotions and re-engage with learningWork closely with Heads of Year, teachers, SENCO and pastoral teamsSupport improvements in behaviour, attendance and engagementIdeal Candidate Will Have:Previous Behaviour Mentor or behaviour support experienceExperience working with secondary-aged young peopleConfidence managing challenging behaviourUnderstanding of SEMH and additional needsStrong behaviour management and de-escalation skillsA calm, resilient and consistent approachBackgrounds in youth work, ..... full job details .....
