Pay: -90105 per day (dependent on experience)
A vibrant and inclusive Lambeth primary school located near Clapham is seeking a confident and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to work across Key Stage 2, supporting pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance to succeed in school.
About the Behaviour Mentor Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional challenges, helping them engage positively with learning and develop self-regulation skills. You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCo, and senior leaders to implement behaviour strategies and provide consistent, structured support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to KS2 pupils with behaviour needs
Implement behaviour support plans in line with school policies
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them manage emotions and behaviour
Monitor and track progress, sharing feedback with staff and leadership
De-escalate challenging situations calmly and appropriately
Promote inclusion, self-esteem, and positive attitudes towards learning
The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Will Have:
Experience supporting children or young people with behaviour challenges (school or youth setting)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, firm, and supportive approach
Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments
A genuine passion for improving the lives of young learners
