Behaviour Mentor
Do you have a natural ability to connect with children and help them feel understood, supported, and valued? Are you interested in helping children who may struggle with behaviour, confidence, emotional regulation, or engagement in school? A school in Trowbridge, Wiltshire is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join its dedicated pastoral and inclusion team from September 2026. This role would suit someone who is patient, approachable, and confident working with children who may need additional support to manage the challenges they face in school. This is an opportunity to become a positive and consistent adult presence in a child''s school day, helping them develop practical strategies, improve their relationships, and feel more confident about their ability to succeed. Your Role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will spend time getting to know the children you support and understanding what helps them engage positively with school. You will provide encouragement and guidance while helping children recognise their emotions, understand the consequences of their actions, and make more positive choices. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: Providing tailored support to children on a one-to-one or small-group basis. Helping children develop strategies for managing anger, frustration, anxiety, and other strong emotions. Encouraging children to communicate their feelings and needs in appropriate ways.
