Overview

The duties and responsibilities of the post holder require service delivery in a wide range of clinical environments as well as to a diversity of patient presentations and will involve lone working in particular areas or specialities and at particular times.Responsibilities

The Radiology Department is undergoing multimillion-pound redevelopment projects to redevelop the Interventional Radiology department and the MRI department. A multimillion-pound redevelopment of the AandE department and AandE X-ray services, including an AandE CT scanner, was completed in Autumn 2017. The department supports continued professional development (CPD) and opportunities for further training and development are available.There are 4 CT scanners performing complex cardiac and vascular angiography, virtual colonography and specialised hepatobiliary imaging among a range of general examinations. There is also a radiographer-led nerve root injection list. There are 4 MRI scanners. The MRI Unit performs a wide range of examinations across Hepato-biliary, Gastroenterology and Renal Medicine.The Interventional Radiology and Cardiology department comprises 5 dedicated interventional labs and provides a comprehensive interventional service for all specialities within the trust, including cardiac, renal, HPB, oncology and vascular. An Artis Zeego multi-axis floor-mounted angiography unit is located within theatres to support imaging for complex endovascular cases.About the Trust
