Band 6 / Band 7 Children''s Speech and Language Therapist - Early Years and Community Location: Shropshire Duration: Ongoing (initial 3 months ongoing) Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full Time (Part Time Considered) Rate: Band 6: 26.78 (Days) 34.71 (Nights/Sat) 42.65 (Sun/BH) Band 7: 30.98 (Days) 41.47 (Nights/Sat) 50.97 (Sun/BH) (NHSI 2025/26 Price Cap) Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children''s Speech and Language Therapist to join a well-established Early Years and Community service in Shropshire. This role will suit either a Band 6 Highly Specialist SLT or Band 7 Advanced Practitioner, depending on experience. The role involves working across early years settings, schools, and community clinics, supporting children and young people with a wide range of speech, language, communication, and feeding needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialist SLT assessment and intervention for children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) Manage a complex paediatric caseload, including children with SEN and additional needs Work collaboratively with education staff, families, and MDT colleagues Deliver training, coaching and support to parents, carers, and professionals Assess and support paediatric dysphagia (Band 6/7 dependent) Contribute to service development, audits and clinical governance Support use of AAC (low and high-tech communication aids) Provide supervision/mentorship (Band 7 level) Essential Requirements ..... full job details .....
