Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust .We are looking for a band 5 Staff Nurse to work in our outpatient department across a range of clinical specialties, including Elective orthopaedic, Medical and Surgical, Vascular, Dermatology, Pain, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Diabetes, Physiotherapy, and Clinical Psychology clinics. The post involves undertaking vascular dressings and stocking measurements, and delivering high standards of care to ensure excellent patient outcomes and experience.The post holder may take charge of the outpatient department in the absence of the nursing sister and supervise junior registered and unregistered staff. Informal visits to the department are welcome to meet the team.Staff work 37.5 hours compressed into 4 days (Monday to Friday). Current outpatient department hours are 08:00–18:00, Monday to Friday.Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in accordance with Trust policies and ensure procedures are understood and adhered to by all staff within own management responsibility.Demonstrate safe medicine administration and management (ordering, storing, administration and disposal).Infection prevention and control; ensure safety and security compliance is met.Participate in clinic allocation and team briefing; participate in audits of agreed standards.Be a consistent and effective role model to the team; demonstrate duty of candour.Run various specialty clinics and demonstrate knowledge of the vascular clinic (wound care).Maintain effective staff and patient record keeping; deputise in the absence of Department Sisters.Support the Charge Nurse/Senior Sister to monitor safety and quality of care for patients; manage stock effectively.Contribute to development of evidence-based guidelines/policies relating to the specialty.Contribute to patient and relative feedback by undertaking daily clinical rounds to provide excellent standards of care.Ensure all staff act in accordance with Trust policies (Infection Prevention and Control, Confidentiality, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities).Qualifications and Requirements

Registered Nurse (NMC) with current practicing license.Experience in outpatient settings and ability to supervise junior staff.Strong clinical skills across diverse specialties and safe clinical governance.Additional Information
