Evasion-design.comAn exciting development opportunity has arisen to join an established team of Children’s Complex Care Nurses in Birmingham. This is a city wide service that offers personalised specialist nursing support to children and families with a variety of highly complex physical health needs. The service provides bespoke commissioned packages of care to children within their own homes, schools and other community locations. The service operates seven days a week and 24 hours a day.If you are an experienced Children’s Nurse with excellent clinical skills and advanced communication abilities, you may be a good fit to join our busy team. This post will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop rewarding therapeutic relationships with children and families in a community setting.In this role you will be required to provide training and supervision to other members of the team including health care assistants as well as parents and family members, ensuring their competence in meeting the care needs of specific children and young people. The client group has highly complex health needs including children and young people who are technology dependent and require invasive ventilation. The Children’s Complex Care Team forms part of the wider Specialist Nursing Service, which also includes Children’s Rapid Response, Children’s Palliative Care and the Children’s Community Nursing Team.The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality nursing care according to agreed standards which are set and monitored.If you have a positive outlook, professional attitude, are a good team player and are passionate about delivering high quality, safe and compassionate child and family focused care we would like to hear from you.In return the successful candidate will be offered opportunities to develop clinically and professionally within a supportive environment and be encouraged to participate in service developments.
