We have an exciting opportunity to join East Older Adult CMHT, part of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will be a member of the multidisciplinary team, providing a comprehensive secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and members of the medical team, assisting them in achieving their objectives and liaising with all relevant and appropriate services.Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, which include:Receipt of all correspondenceBooking of new patient appointmentsAttendance at MDT weekly meetingsAudio transcription and text processing of clinical letters, reports, and other correspondence as required by the medical teamTo act as a focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages, and inquiries for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals, and staff within the Trust, GPs, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers, and any other appropriate external agencies.Working for our organisation

Training / Qualifications

RSA II Typing/Text Processing plus significant relevant secretarial experienceEducated in English ‘O’ Level or GCSE equivalentAmspar Diploma or equivalent qualification/experienceMedical Terminology QualificationExperience of using RIO systemKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Significant experience of Microsoft Office including databases, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, PublisherKnowledge of good practice and system of work within secretarial/PA fieldExperience in working with people who suffer from Mental Health or other related problemsSKILLS
