Automation Engineer - Enterprise Infrastructure

A leading technology organisation is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join its Infrastructure Operations function, working within a large and highly complex enterprise environment.This is a key role focused on automation, infrastructure improvement and operational efficiency. You''ll be responsible for identifying repetitive and time-consuming processes and turning them into reliable, scalable automated solutions. Using technologies such as PowerShell, Power Automate, Python and Microsoft Graph API, you''ll help transform the way infrastructure services are deployed, monitored, managed and supported.Alongside the automation focus, you''ll operate at 3rd Line level, providing expert technical support across a broad Microsoft infrastructure estate. You''ll act as an escalation point for complex incidents, troubleshoot challenging infrastructure issues and work towards permanent solutions rather than short-term fixes. You''ll also be involved in infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, patching, monitoring and service improvement across both cloud and on-premise environments.The role will give you the opportunity to work across a wide range of technologies, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint management, virtualisation, monitoring and alerting platforms and Microsoft cloud services.
