Authorised Person in Water - London

Authorised Person (Water) Salary: Circa £45,000 + benefits We are recruiting for an experienced Authorised Person (Water) to join a large, complex healthcare environment. This is a key compliance role responsible for ensuring water systems are operated and maintained in line with HTM 04-01, ACOP L8 and HSG274 requirements. Key Responsibilities Act as the Authorised Person (Water) and provide technical assurance across water systems. Ensure compliance with Water Safety Plans and statutory maintenance requirements. Monitor inspections, sampling, flushing, cleaning and disinfection activities. Supervise contractors and Competent Persons carrying out water hygiene works. Investigate incidents, non-conformances and Legionella-related risks. Support audits, inspections and Authorising Engineer reviews. Maintain accurate compliance records and drive corrective actions where required. Requirements Recognised Authorised Person (Water) qualification/training. Strong water hygiene, water treatment or water safety management experience. Detailed knowledge of HTM 04-01, ACOP L8 and HSG274. Supervisory experience managing teams, contractors or specialist service providers. Experience investigating compliance issues and implementing corrective actions. HNC/HND, NVQ Level 4/5 or equivalent technical qualification desirable.
