Audit Senior

Location: Southampton/Portsmouth Salary: £30,000-£55,000 About the Role A growing and highly regarded accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Associate/Senior to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA/CA-qualified professional, or someone nearing qualification, who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain greater responsibility across a varied portfolio of clients. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit work from planning through to completion, while also supporting junior members of the team and developing strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver audit assignments from initial planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards. Take ownership of key areas of audit engagements, carrying out detailed substantive and analytical procedures. Attend client sites where required and build a strong understanding of their businesses, processes and financial reporting. Prepare statutory accounts using information provided by clients and identify key risks, technical matters and areas requiring further review. Review work completed by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and helping to develop their technical capabilities. Work closely with Managers and Partners, keeping them informed of progress, risks and significant audit findings.
