The Opportunity

As an AV Field Service Technician, you''ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing large-format LED displays and digital advertising screens across London and the South of England.

Working alongside the Digital Manager and remote support team, you''ll ensure displays remain operational, safe, and visually impressive for clients nationwide.

This is a field-based role ideally suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and taking ownership of their sites.

What You''ll Be Doing



Reactive Maintenance & Repairs

• Responding to equipment faults within agreed service level agreements (4, 12, or 72 hours).
• Diagnosing technical issues quickly and accurately.
• Replacing electrical and electronic components to minimise downtime.
• Liaising with remote support teams and senior engineers when required.

Preventative Maintenance

• Conducting scheduled maintenance visits.
• Cleaning display screens and enclosures.
• Inspecting internal electrical components.
• Identifying potential failures before they become critical issues.
• Reporting health and safety concerns.

Site Responsibility

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally.
• Following company H&S procedures at all times.
• Monitoring subcontractor compliance where applicable.
• Maintaining accurate service reports and documentation.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Managing spare parts and equipment within your vehicle.
• Monitoring stock levels at assigned sites and storage locations.
• Producing stock reports and reorder recommendations.
• Coordinating returns of faulty components to manufacturers or head office.

What We''re Looking For

You don''t need to come directly from the digital signage industry.

We''d like to speak with candidates who have experience in:

• AV installations
• Digital signage
• Electrical maintenance
• Field service engineering
• LED display systems
• Technical installations
• Electrical fault finding
• Facilities or outdoor equipment maintenance

Essential Skills

Full UK Driving Licence

Strong electrical fault-finding ability

Experience carrying out preventative maintenance

Good organisational skills

Ability to work independently

Basic IT skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Excellent communication skills

Comfortable working at height

Flexible approach to working hours when required

Strong commitment to health and safety
